The occupied city of Jerusalem is witnessing a new escalation in Israeli measures, including the confiscation of vast areas of land and the displacement of Bedouin families, coinciding with the increasing incursions of settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Israeli army issued a military order to seize more than 77 dunums of land in the towns of Al-Za'im and Al-Issawiya, east of Jerusalem, in a move that the Jerusalem Governorate said comes under the pretext of "military needs," while it actually falls within plans aimed at expanding settlements and linking them geographically at the expense of Palestinian lands. In a related context, the Governorate reported that three Bedouin families in the Hathroura gathering near Khan al-Ahmar forcibly left their homes after escalating settler attacks following the establishment of a neighboring settlement outpost, noting that other families from the gathering had been forced to leave in recent weeks for the same reason. It affirmed that these measures are part of a policy aimed at restricting Bedouin communities and forcing them to leave, calling on human rights and international institutions to intervene to stop these violations. In contrast, repeated incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque continue, as the Jerusalem Governorate announced that 187 settlers and 678 tourists entered the mosque's courtyards today. According to data from the Palestinian Information Center (Ma'ta), the past month of October recorded 408 violations in Jerusalem, including the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards by 18,963 settlers, a noticeable increase compared to previous months.
