Abdo Bishr Breaks the Silence: Executing the Innocent is a Deadly Trap... and the Cup Will Return to Every Guzzler Sheikh and prominent parliamentarian Abdo Bishr directed a strongly worded warning to Ali Hussein al-Houthi, son of the founder of the Ansar Allah group, cautioning against continuing to issue and implement death sentences against innocent people, and stressing that involvement in forbidden blood is a very dangerous slippery slope from which no one escapes, no matter how influential. In a tweet published on the "X" platform, Bishr pointed out that issuing death sentences in the current circumstances - especially against innocent people - represents a dangerous trap that must be avoided, adding that "a person remains in a space of his religion as long as he does not shed forbidden blood." The MP added in a clear warning tone: "God's wisdom is running... and every guzzler will drink from the same cup," in reference to the fact that the results of injustice must befall those who practice it sooner or later. Bishr pointed out that he had previously defended the Ansar Allah group when he saw that they were being subjected to injustice, but his position today is completely biased towards the side of the weak and innocent, stressing: "We will continue to defend the oppressed... This is a national and moral responsibility that cannot be abandoned." He concluded his tweet with a Quranic verse that carried a remarkable political and moral significance: {Do not exult; indeed, Allah does not like the exultant.} This public warning, issued by a prominent parliamentarian and an influential tribal and national voice, reflects the escalating tension within Sana'a regarding the performance of the judicial system, and raises broad questions about the future of dealing with death penalty cases, the limits of power, and the possibility of expanding the circle of popular rejection of any punitive measures that affect the innocent outside the framework of the law.
