Yemen: War wounded and families of martyrs rally in front of Maashiq: "Our salaries are our priority"

Dozens of war wounded and families of martyrs from the southern governorates participated today in a protest in front of the Maashiq Palace in the temporary capital, Aden, to demand the disbursement of their salaries and financial dues regularly and continuously. The participants raised banners demanding that the government fulfill its obligations towards them, stressing that the delay in salaries and the neglect of their repeated demands is a violation of their rights after the sacrifices they made for the sake of the country. The protesters stressed the need to establish a clear and fixed mechanism for disbursing salaries and compensation to the wounded, warning of escalating steps in the event of continued official disregard for their demands.
