Cairo: The Yemeni community concludes the first Holy Quran competition within the Arab Youth Friendship Championship.

The Yemeni community in Cairo concluded the activities of the first Holy Quran competition, which was held on the sidelines of the Arab Youth Friendship Championship, organized by the Arab Youth Union for Creativity and Innovation in the Egyptian capital, under the supervision of Counselor Fouad Al-Barti, the competition organizer, and in the presence of Issa Saiban Al Mujfel, Public Relations and Media Officer of the Yemeni American Union, in a solemn spiritual ceremony that brought together community leaders and the families of the contestants. The head of the Yemeni community in Cairo, Omar Babtain, affirmed during his speech that this competition represents an opportunity to strengthen the connection of the younger generation with the Book of God, stressing that such events "create a generation that carries Quranic values and is proud of its Arab identity," adding that the community is continuing to implement quality programs aimed at serving its children in Egypt. For his part, the Secretary-General of the community, Dr. Muhammad Al-Humairi, praised the organized efforts that contributed to the success of the competition, stressing its role in building a conscious generation that is in constant contact with the source of guidance and tranquility. As for the member of the arbitration committee, Sheikh Ali Muhammad Ali, he noted the importance of instilling the culture of the Quran in children and adolescents, praising the level of recitations presented by the contestants, and thanking the community administration and Counselor Fouad Al-Barti for the close follow-up and the great efforts that contributed to the success of the competition. The closing ceremony witnessed the honoring of the sponsors who contributed to the success of the event, most notably Al-Jaadi Company for Marketing and Real Estate Development, represented by its Chairman of the Board, Mr. Bilal Al-Jaadi, in addition to a group of Yemeni American businessmen, namely: Murtada Al-Muntasir, Muhammad Qafaan, Ali Musleh Al-Tawala, Labib Nasher, Ahmed Shajra. This honor came in appreciation of their role in supporting educational and Quranic activities within the community. The winners were honored with financial prizes and certificates of appreciation, and the final results were as follows: First place: Ibrahim Muhammad Naji Second place: Abdul Rahman Amer Al-Saeedi Third place: Abdul Rahim Amer Al-Saeedi The first Holy Quran competition demonstrates the commitment of the Yemeni community in Egypt to promoting religious and cultural values among its children, and linking educational activities to the spiritual aspect, so that sports, culture, and the Quran are an integrated pillar in developing the capabilities of young people, and reflect a honorable image of the Yemeni community in the diaspora.
