**Arab Sea - Follow-ups:** **Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qasem Buhaibeh, chaired an expanded meeting in the capital, Aden, to discuss the repercussions of the spread of the "Marburg" virus in some neighboring African countries, and Yemen's readiness to face any potential health emergency.** **The meeting focused on assessing readiness at land, sea, and air ports, the capabilities of national laboratories, in addition to logistical capabilities and drug supply. It also discussed awareness plans and the role of international partners in strengthening the capabilities of the health sector.** **Minister Buhaibeh stressed the need to raise the state of alert in accordance with international health regulations, and to move from initial response to coordinated field procedures that include surveillance centers, laboratories, and isolation centers, while clarifying the tasks of medical teams.** **The Minister affirmed the importance of unifying scientific awareness messages to raise community awareness and enhance prevention. Meanwhile, the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Ali Al-Walidi, reviewed the current challenges and the sector's needs to keep pace with the next stage of epidemic preparedness.**
