The Yemeni Ambassador to Malaysia and Non-Resident Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia, Dr. Adel Muhammad Bahumaid, praised the significant efforts made by the Cambodian government and the Royal Police following the implementation of a high-quality security operation that resulted in the liberation of two Yemeni citizens who had been held by a criminal gang for more than ten months. This came during a ceremony organized by the Yemeni Embassy, where the embassy's shield and a certificate of appreciation were awarded to Lieutenant General Ning Chhao, Head of the Anti-Crime Department at the Cambodian Ministry of Interior, as well as the Seventh Police Division, in recognition of their pivotal role in the success of the operation and ensuring the safety of the detainees. The head of the Yemeni community in Cambodia, Professor Bashir Ahmed Saeed Ali, presented the honor on behalf of Ambassador Bahumaid. Ambassador Bahumaid expressed his deep gratitude to the Cambodian authorities for their cooperation and responsibility in dealing with the case, stressing that the success of this operation reflects the level of partnership and mutual respect between the two countries, and Cambodia's keenness to protect residents and visitors on its territory. The Ambassador also thanked the families of the kidnapped for their patience and continuous cooperation with the embassy throughout the follow-up period, stressing that everyone's solidarity was a decisive factor in ending the suffering of the two young men and ensuring their safe return to their homeland. He also praised the outstanding efforts made by the head of the Yemeni community in Cambodia in following up on the case and coordinating with the competent security authorities until the moment of the young men's release. In conclusion, Ambassador Bahumaid called on Yemeni citizens to exercise caution when receiving foreign job offers, and to verify the credibility of the advertising parties through official channels, warning against electronic fraud networks that lure young people from Yemen and other countries through false job promises with high salaries, before forcing them to work in coercive and exploitative conditions of extreme cruelty, as happened in this case.
