The office of Major General Faraj Salmin Al-Bahsani, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, issued a statement accusing the council's president, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, of obstructing the implementation of decisions related to Hadramout Governorate, which contributed to the escalation of the security crisis and the worsening of the situation in the governorate. The statement said that obstructing the decisions, which were unanimously approved with the aim of ending imbalances and normalizing the situation, is a constitutional violation and constitutes a state of political recklessness, and holds Al-Alimi fully responsible for the continued security deterioration in Hadramout. The statement affirmed that the continuation of this approach may push the other members of the council to take unilateral decisions in consultation and coordination among themselves to implement what has been agreed upon. It pointed out that these steps aim to restore the normalization of the situation and protect stability, warning that the delay in implementing the decisions exposes the governorate to further security and political slippage, and places the responsibility for correcting the situation on all members of the Presidential Council.
