As part of strengthening media and parliamentary relations, Counselor Mustafa Khaled, editor-in-chief of the Bahr Al Arab newspaper, met today in Cairo with Egyptian MP Mustafa Bakri, chairman of the board and editor-in-chief of Al-Osboa newspaper. During the meeting, Counselor Khaled extended his sincere congratulations to MP Bakri on his well-deserved victory in the recent parliamentary elections, wishing him further success in his legislative and national duties. The two sides discussed regional developments, foremost of which is the humanitarian and political situation in Yemen. They paused at the magnitude of the tragedy experienced by the Yemeni people as a result of the continuing conflict and crises, and the accumulation of failures of the political elites in building a sound state based on justice, citizenship, and the rule of law. The meeting also addressed the latest developments in the peace process in Yemen, the opportunities available for its success, and the measures required to strengthen its paths, including the importance of supporting regional and international efforts aimed at ending the war and alleviating the suffering of civilians affected by conflicts and divisions.
