Arab Sea - Follow-ups: The Lebanese Presidency announced that Beirut will file an official complaint with the UN Security Council against Israel, against the backdrop of the construction of a concrete wall on the southern border that "exceeds the Blue Line" drawn by the United Nations after the Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon in 2000. The Presidency affirmed that the wall constitutes "a violation of Security Council Resolution 1701 and Lebanese sovereignty," while the UN spokesman indicated that the wall deprived residents of more than 4,000 square meters of their land. UNIFIL demanded its removal. For its part, the Israeli army denied crossing the Blue Line, indicating that the wall is part of a plan to strengthen the border barrier, which was accelerated after the outbreak of the recent war.
