The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the continued violations committed by the Israeli occupation authorities and extremist settlers against the Palestinian people, including the storming of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the attack on the Al-Haja Hamida Mosque in the village of Kafr Hares. The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that these violations undermine international and regional efforts to achieve peace, and lead to an escalation of tension and the continuation of the conflict. It warned that international silence and the absence of accountability mechanisms weaken the foundations of the international system and undermine the principles of international legitimacy. The statement reiterated Saudi Arabia's firm position in supporting the Palestinian people, and seeking the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international resolutions.
