The prominent Yemeni diplomat and politician Yahya Hussein Al-Arashi called for the immediate release of Dr. Hamoud Al-Oudi, Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Alfi, and Professor Anwar Khaled Shaab, who were recently detained by the Houthi militia in the capital, Sana'a, stressing that their activity falls within the framework of national, humanitarian, and community work. Al-Arashi explained in a tweet that the three figures are among the sincere national voices who have devoted their efforts to defending the right and supporting the oppressed, and have sought in various governorates - including Taiz, Ibb, and Lahj - to open roads between the regions of Yemenis and alleviate their suffering, in addition to their efforts to find solutions to the issues of salaries, electricity, and ways to improve public services. He pointed out that their efforts stem from a purely national vision aimed at achieving comprehensive reconciliation in accordance with national references and constitutional and legal constants, explaining that their intellectual and social center "Manarat" represents a platform for enlightenment and dialogue, away from any political or inciting orientations, and focuses on addressing the issues of reality and opening horizons for societal and intellectual development. Al-Arashi affirmed that he knows the three personally, pointing out that Dr. Hamoud Al-Oudi is one of the most prominent sociologists in Yemen, and has faced intellectual harassment for decades, while Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Alfi suffers from chronic diseases that have not deterred him from serving his country, and Professor Anwar Khaled Shaab is a model of self-reliance and national commitment. Al-Arashi concluded his call by appealing to the concerned authorities in Sana'a to expedite their release, considering that this step would be a positive message that enhances hope in the possibility of overcoming the country's ordeal and opening a new page based on dialogue and understanding among Yemenis.
