Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: Taiz police accused the commander in Brigade 170, Muhammad Saeed al-Mikhlafi, of obstructing the security campaign and preventing it from raiding a house in the Al-Rawda neighborhood, east of the city, believed to contain Muhammad Sadiq, the main perpetrator of the assassination of the director of the Sanitation and Improvement Fund, Afthan al-Mashhari. However, al-Mikhlafi denied this. The police spokesman, Osama al-Sharabi, said today, Monday, that the leadership of the Taiz military axis and Brigade 170 did not respond to the deadline granted to hand over the most wanted person in the case, stressing that the campaign will continue its tasks until the accused are arrested. The Taiz police spokesman wrote on his Facebook page: "Muhammad Saeed al-Mikhlafi, brother of Sheikh Hammoud and a leader in Brigade 170, is obstructing the security campaign and preventing it from raiding a house in the Al-Rawda neighborhood where the perpetrator of the assassination of the martyr #Afthan_al-Mashhari was spotted. The leadership of the axis and Sheikh Hammoud must fulfill their obligations to cooperate with the security campaign and facilitate its tasks, and we hold them responsible." Al-Sharabi called on the people of Taiz Governorate to rally and cooperate to dry up the hotbeds of chaos and put an end to those who cover up. Muhammad Saeed al-Mikhlafi, a leader in Brigade 170 in Taiz, denied the "accusations" made by Osama al-Sharabi, the Taiz police spokesman, and considered them "fabrications and lies."
