Arab Sea - Follow-ups: While the "Quintet Committee" overseeing the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in southern Lebanon held a meeting in the presence of US envoy Morgan Ortagus, the Israeli army carried out a new massacre in the city of Bint Jbeil, which resulted in 5 deaths, including three children, and a number of injuries. Informed sources described the meeting as "positive," as the American side renewed its support for the Lebanese army and the steps it is taking, but it also spoke of a negative escalatory message from the Israeli side, represented by the massacre that targeted a car carrying civilians shortly after the meeting ended. The sources said, "It seems clear that Israel is continuing its policy, disregarding all the efforts being made in this regard, and is continuing on its own path and interpretation of the ceasefire agreement and applying it on the ground." In the same context, the Israeli army announced that since the end of the war and the entry into force of the ceasefire agreement last November, more than 300 Hezbollah militants have been eliminated and more than 300 targets have been hit. The Israeli army added that "during the war, between 4,000 and 5,000 leaders and members (of Hezbollah) were eliminated, and about 9,000 others were injured and taken out of combat, and between 70 and 80 percent of Hezbollah's missile launchers were damaged."
