Security belt tightens on the revenue collection point in Wadi Hassan.

Special / Abyan The director of the Transportation Office in Zinjibar Directorate, Sheikh Muhammad Ali Al-Hajj Al-Marqashi, accused the Security Belt forces in Zinjibar of seizing the office's revenue collection point in Wadi Hassan, east of Zinjibar city, and turning it into a collection point not subject to local authorities. Al-Marqashi confirmed that the seizure of the point took place "without official coordination," noting that the office has been deprived of collecting legal revenues for about four months, despite its repeated attempts to communicate with the concerned security authorities, which did not respond - according to him. He pointed out that these measures have led to the cessation of revenue delivery to the Finance Office, causing a disruption in the office's obligations and revenue linkage, noting that these funds were not deposited in the Central Bank and were not used to finance service projects. Al-Marqashi added that there is what he described as "an expansion in the imposition of levies outside the official frameworks by some security agencies," considering that this exacerbates the suffering of citizens and weakens the role of the local authority in managing public resources. No official clarifications have yet been issued by the Security Belt leadership or the relevant security authorities to respond to these accusations. There has also been no comment from the local authority in Abyan Governorate regarding these developments.
