Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The Prime Minister, Dr. Salem Saleh bin Buraik, directed the military and security agencies in Taiz Governorate to quickly pursue and arrest the perpetrators involved in the assassination of the Director of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund in the governorate, Iftihan Al-Mashhari, and bring them to justice to receive their fair and deterrent punishment. During a phone call he made today, Thursday, with the Governor of Taiz, Nabil Shamsan, the Prime Minister stressed the need to intensify security efforts to thwart the attempts of terrorist and extremist groups aimed at destabilizing security, stability, and public tranquility. Bin Buraik listened to a preliminary report from the Governor on the circumstances of the crime and the measures taken by the security committee, including launching a joint security campaign to arrest the accused after identifying them and circulating their photos at ports and security checkpoints. The Prime Minister conveyed his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family of the deceased, praising her competence, sincerity, and dedication to serving the community through her work in the Cleaning and Improvement Fund. Bin Buraik affirmed that the perpetrators will not escape punishment, and that the hand of justice will reach them, stressing the importance of redoubling efforts to maintain security and stability and to pursue elements outside the law, in a way that enhances the sovereignty of the state and the prestige of its institutions.
