Arab Sea - Follow-ups: The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said on Thursday that overcrowded hospitals in the Gaza Strip are on the verge of collapse and escalating violence is hindering access to them. Ghebreyesus warned that the military incursion and evacuation orders in northern Gaza would lead to new waves of displacement. He added that the injured and people with disabilities cannot move to safe places, which puts them at serious risk, calling for an immediate end to these inhumane conditions and a ceasefire. In a related context, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. The agency stressed that the focus should be on an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the entry of humanitarian aid, demanding that its teams be allowed to bring in aid and distribute it safely on a large scale. Meanwhile, medical sources announced, at dawn on Thursday, "the killing of 99 citizens in massacres committed by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip, during the past 24 hours, including 77 killed in the northern Strip." The sources stated that 48 dead arrived at Al-Shifa Hospital, 20 dead at the Arab Evangelical Hospital "Baptist", 6 dead at Al-Quds Hospital, 3 dead at Al-Saraya Hospital, 3 dead at Al-Awda Hospital, one dead at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, and 18 dead at Nasser Hospital.
