Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, called for the adoption of a comprehensive approach to joint action based on collective measures to confront Israeli expansionist policies and illusions of regional hegemony. In his speech before the extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit held today in the Qatari capital, Doha, Al-Alimi said that the continuation of genocide in Gaza without accountability, and the continuation of the Israeli occupation's attacks on the countries of the region, up to the recent aggression against Qatar, confirms that expansionist states and armed terrorist groups are two sides of the same coin, as each party provides pretexts for the other and they work together to undermine the national state and fuel regional conflicts. He explained that the required Arab and Islamic approach must be based on pushing towards a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue based on the resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative, while at the same time supporting national states politically, economically and security-wise, and working collectively to combat armed terrorist organizations, in addition to deterring expansionist projects in the region, foremost of which is Israel, in a way that enhances Arab and Islamic integration. Al-Alimi welcomed the historic resolution of the United Nations General Assembly supporting the two-state solution, and considered it an important political shift led by Arab diplomacy led by Saudi Arabia, stressing that Yemen stands by the Qatari, Egyptian and American mediation efforts, and the Arab initiative to rebuild Gaza as a fundamental pillar for thwarting displacement attempts and addressing the effects of aggression. He said that the security of the Arab and Islamic nation is "indivisible," and that facing the current challenges requires unity of position and strengthening joint solidarity in the face of all threats and challenges.
