Arab Gulf - Follow-ups: The Israeli occupation army continues its war of extermination on the besieged Gaza Strip, targeting various parts of the Strip with raids and heavy artillery shelling, resulting in dozens of martyrs and wounded daily. In recent days, the occupation forces have begun a gradual destruction campaign of high-rise residential buildings in Gaza City, which has increased the number of displaced families and pushed them into harsh displacement conditions, at a time when observers warn that the goal is to forcibly push Palestinians to displacement to the south, as part of a broader Israeli-American plan to displace them outside the Strip. The government media office in Gaza said in a statement yesterday that the occupation has destroyed 1,600 residential buildings in the city since August 11. On Sunday evening, the occupation destroyed the "Unknown Soldier Tower," inhabited by hundreds of Palestinians in the Al-Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City, adjacent to large camps for the displaced, shortly after warning its residents and the displaced in its vicinity to evacuate, as part of the genocide it is committing in the Strip. The "Unknown Soldier Tower" is one of the largest residential towers in Gaza City, comprising dozens of apartments and shops, and housing hundreds of families and displaced people during the war. The tower is located in the most commercial and vital area of the Al-Rimal neighborhood in the city. In addition, the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, revealed yesterday, Sunday, that Israel has bombed ten UNRWA buildings in Gaza City in the past four days alone, including seven schools and two clinics currently used as shelters for thousands of displaced people. On another front, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a security meeting to discuss the issue of detainees, with the participation of Minister of Security Israel Katz and Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, before the planned ground operation in Gaza City, according to Hebrew media. The official "Kan" channel said that "Netanyahu discussed during the meeting, which lasted nearly three hours, efforts to avoid harming the detainees during the expected ground operation in Gaza City."
