Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty discussed on Tuesday with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the joint efforts of the two countries with the United States to resume the ceasefire. This came in a phone call, according to a statement by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry. The call, according to the Egyptian statement, addressed aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries, as Abdel-Aty praised the growing growth in relations between the two countries, pointing to the strong ties and bonds that unite Cairo and Doha and achieve the common interests of the two peoples. The two sides exchanged views on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the joint efforts of the two countries with the United States to resume the ceasefire, stop the bloodshed of the Palestinian people, release prisoners and detainees, and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. The two ministers also discussed developments regarding the ceasefire between Iran and Israel, where the need to consolidate the ceasefire, de-escalate, and promote diplomatic solutions was emphasized, stressing Egypt's support for the resumption of negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program, and all efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the Middle East.
