Arabian Sea - Yemen - Yemen: The U.S. Treasury Department announced on Thursday sanctions on 32 individuals and entities and four ships linked to the Yemeni Houthi group, in the broadest action of its kind to date targeting the group's illicit networks in raising funds, smuggling goods, and purchasing weapons, including components for ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones. The ministry said that these networks, spread between Yemen, China, the Emirates, and the Marshall Islands, secure significant revenues for the Houthis through oil trade, complex smuggling operations, and the laundering of huge sums of money, which are used to finance the group's global arms supply chain, which relies on front companies, shipping facilitators, and multiple suppliers. Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, John K. Hurley, affirmed in a statement that the Houthis continue to threaten American individuals and interests in the Red Sea, attack Washington's allies, and undermine the security of international navigation in coordination with the Iranian regime, stressing that the United States will continue to exert maximum pressure on those who threaten its security and the security of the region. • The following are the names of the individuals and entities subject to sanctions First: Individuals Saddam Ahmed Muhammad Al-Faqih Zayed Ali Yahya Al-Sharafi Muhammad Ahmed Al-Dawla Nasser Hussein Al-Hammadi Hesham Abdul Wasea Hael Muhammad Al-Nahari Muhammad Abdul Wasea Hael Al-Nahari Abdullah Misfer Al-Shaer Ibrahim Mohsen Al-Suwaidi Saleh Dabish Khaled Muhammad Khalil Li Ying Second: Entities Al-Faqih International Company for Trade, Import and Oil Services Limited.
