The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Thursday, the release of citizen Lana Shoukri Kattao, Deputy Director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) office in Yemen, days after she was detained by the Houthi group authorities in the capital, Sana'a. The ministry confirmed in a statement that Kattao, who had been detained for several days, left Sana'a and returned to the Kingdom. On September 4, the Houthi group stormed the UNICEF headquarters in Sana'a and detained a number of employees, including Kattao, who was interrogated several times before being released.
