Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups President Rashad al-Alimi returned to Aden today, Tuesday, accompanied by council members Sultan al-Arada and Abdullah al-Alimi, in preparation for holding extensive meetings with the government, the central bank, and local authorities. In a statement to the official Yemeni News Agency (Saba), His Excellency the President praised the successes achieved in the field of economic and financial reforms, which were the result of harmony in the work between state institutions at all levels. His Excellency the President reiterated the commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to build on these successes and move forward with the comprehensive reform program that has led to a noticeable improvement in the price of the national currency and basic commodities, and to enhance the independence of the central bank in managing monetary policy. The head of the Presidential Leadership Council affirmed the Council's keenness to continue working with the government and local authorities to improve the efficiency of services provided to citizens, combat corruption, maximize public revenues, and work with the recommendations of the Council's support bodies and regional and international partners, which will result in more breakthroughs and promising partnerships in the coming days. In this context, His Excellency the President praised the role of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and their economic, development, and humanitarian interventions that contributed to the state's continued fulfillment of its inevitable obligations and containment of the repercussions of the humanitarian crisis, which was exacerbated by the attacks of the terrorist Houthi militias on oil facilities and maritime shipping vessels.
