Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: Today, in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, the Minister of Transport, Dr. Abdulsalam Humaid, chaired the current session meeting of the General Assembly of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport at the level of Arab ministers. The meeting, with the participation of the concerned Arab ministers, permanent delegate ambassadors to the League of Arab States, and heads of delegations of the member states of the General Assembly, discussed the efforts of the Academy's leadership, represented by its President, Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, and the developments it has witnessed during his tenure. The meeting praised the efforts of the President of the Academy, which led to the establishment of new branches of the Academy, the creation of colleges and institutes in various fields, and the achievements made during his tenure, reflected in the numerous advanced rankings it has obtained among Arab and international universities and within Egypt, the host country, in addition to its constant endeavor to strengthen relations with prestigious international universities, through the signing of cooperation agreements with them, enabling it to grant dual degrees with these universities. The meeting approved the issuance of a resolution that includes supporting the continuation of the current Academy leadership for the next four years, in order to maintain stability and the successes achieved at all levels, and to enable it to continue to achieve development programs and projects under implementation.
