Yemen: Aden Police Arrest Perpetrators in Stabbing and Grenade Throwing Cases

Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: Security services in the interim capital, Aden, managed to arrest the accused (A.H.Kh.), 38 years old and of Urumqi nationality, after he committed a stabbing crime in the Al-Basateen market in Dar Saad against (F.M.Sh.), 21 years old, of the same nationality, using a white weapon (knife). He inflicted seven separate stab wounds on various parts of his body following a quarrel between them. The perpetrator himself was also injured in his fingers. The injured person was taken to Al-Jumhouria Hospital, while the accused was placed in custody with the weapon used in the crime pending the case. Initial investigations indicate that the motives for the incident are due to previous disputes between the two parties. In another incident, Aden police stated that an unknown person threw a hand grenade inside the courtyard of a police station last Thursday, resulting in the injury of soldier Issa Ahmed (24 years old) with shrapnel in the neck, in addition to material damage estimated at about two million Yemeni riyals. After extensive search and investigation operations, the security services managed to arrest the accused in this crime yesterday, named (R.N.M.), 25 years old, and it became clear that his motives were due to thuggery and disregard for the law. He was placed in custody to complete legal procedures and refer him to the competent judicial authorities.
