Arab Sea - Follow-ups: Official data revealed that the sovereign ports of Aden achieved huge revenues amounting to about 250 billion Yemeni riyals from customs duties and taxes during the period from January to August 2025, which were deposited into the Central Bank in Aden. According to statistics, the revenues of the Free Zone Customs (Caltex - Containers) amounted to about 150 billion riyals during the same period, while 3.4 billion riyals were deposited between the 1st and 6th of September alone. The ports of Al-Mualla (various goods) and Al-Buraiqa (oil derivatives) also contributed to raising the total revenues flowing into the Central Bank. It is worth noting that the Tax Authority achieves approximately 10 billion riyals per month from major commercial taxpayers, in addition to monthly revenues of millions of dollars from the Aden Gulf Ports Corporation, as well as tax revenues from the cigarette factory in Aden, which are estimated at billions of riyals per month.
