Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: Students at the University of Science and Technology in the temporary capital, Aden, carried out a comprehensive strike from studying today, Saturday, in protest against the university administration's decision to significantly raise tuition fees. A number of students said that the university administration approved increases they described as "unjustified" in annual fees, despite the noticeable improvement in the exchange rate of the local currency against foreign currencies, considering this an exploitation that increases their suffering and the suffering of their families in light of the difficult economic conditions, according to "Aden Al-Ghad." They explained that these increases sparked widespread discontent within the university campus, stressing their continued strike until the administration retracts the decision or reconsiders it in a way that suits the living conditions of the students. The protesters called on the Ministry of Higher Education and the competent authorities in Aden to intervene urgently to compel the university administration to review its financial policies and guarantee the students' right to continue their education away from the financial burdens that threaten their academic future.
