Arab Sea - Follow-ups: The Arab League called on the international community today to support the Palestinian people in Gaza in obtaining safe and fair health services, and to work on building a health system capable of withstanding the challenges facing the sector, and to protect health facilities and health workers in accordance with international humanitarian law. In a statement on the occasion of Arab Health Day, which falls on September 4 of each year, the League indicated that this year's slogan is entitled "Justice and Sustainability in the Health System in Peace and War," pointing out that it is a humanitarian appeal and an opportunity to demand the international community again to support the Palestinian people in obtaining health services. It stated that Arab Health Day this year highlights the importance of ensuring justice in access to basic health services to include all segments of society, and working to sustain health systems and enhance their ability to withstand disasters and wars.
