Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The Public Prosecution in Taiz Governorate carried out the Sharia law of retribution in the central prison against the convicted Issa Ahmed bin Ahmed Abdullah Al-Taj, after he was convicted of the crime of intentionally and aggressively murdering the victim Emad Ahmed Hassan Saeed, in accordance with the final judicial rulings issued by the competent authorities. A statement issued by the Public Prosecution yesterday, Wednesday, explained that the execution of the ruling came based on the wording of the ruling issued by the Jabal Habashi Primary Court, which was upheld by the Taiz Court of Appeal, approved by the Supreme Court of the Republic, and ratified by the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, after completing all legal and administrative procedures. The statement indicated that the Attorney General of the Republic, Judge Qaher Mustafa Ali, directed the completion of the execution procedures in application of the Almighty's saying: "And there is life for you in legal retribution, O you [possessors] of understanding, that you may become righteous." The Prosecution stated that it sought to encourage the victim's relatives to pardon, whether absolute or conditional on blood money, but they refused and insisted on carrying out the retribution ruling. The execution process took place in the presence of the competent judge, a number of members of the Public Prosecution, the victim's relatives, and a gathering of citizens, where the wording of the ruling was recited before the execution. The Public Prosecution affirmed its commitment to implementing judicial rulings in a way that achieves justice, preserves the security of society, and protects the rights of its members.
