Yemen: 14 agricultural companies and associations in Wadi Hadramout obtain ISO certifications.

Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: Three associations and an agricultural company in Wadi Hadramout received today certificates from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), while 14 agricultural establishments, including four agricultural companies, also received certificates of Good Agricultural Practices after passing the special conditions and tests for granting these international certificates. At the ceremony organized by the Promoting Access to Markets Project, implemented by the Small and Micro Enterprise Promotion Service (SMEPS), affiliated with the Social Fund for Development, with funding and support from the Islamic Development Bank and the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, the Assistant Undersecretary of Hadramout Governorate for Wadi and Desert Affairs, Engineer Hisham Al-Saeedi, called for continuing the efforts made at all levels to find global markets for our quality products and to establish controls and procedures to maintain and sustain the export of quality agricultural products. For his part, the officer of the Promoting Access to Markets Project, Engineer Maher Khan, reviewed the stages and activities of the project, which aims to improve the quality of national cash products, including the honey, coffee, and onion sectors, according to the conditions of global markets.
