Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The Republic of Yemen participated today in the 116th session of the Economic and Social Council held at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo, headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Trade for the Foreign Trade Sector, Mohammed Al-Humaidi. The agenda included a discussion of the Yemeni draft resolution regarding the establishment of an Arab fund to support and reconstruct Yemen, as a practical step to translate the outcomes of the Beirut Summit and the Manama Summit, and in response to the initiative of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, which he presented at the Baghdad Summit. The meeting also addressed the mechanism for forming a ministerial council that operates under the umbrella of the Economic and Social Council to enhance joint Arab action in this framework.
