Arab Sea - Follow-ups: Several regions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are witnessing severe weather fluctuations, starting from Tuesday until Saturday, September 6, including heavy rain, strong winds, and thunderstorms, with official warnings of the dangers of floods and overflowing valleys. The National Center for Meteorology explained that the situation will affect the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, including the governorates of Taif, Maysan, Adham, Al-Ardiyat, Al-Lith, and Al-Qunfudhah, with expectations of continued rain for several days. In the Jazan region, the center warned of heavy rain accompanied by active winds, hail, and thunderstorms, which may lead to torrential floods in the valleys, and the situation includes the governorates of Jizan, Al-Harth, Al-Dayer, Fifa, Haroub, and Samtah. The warnings also included the Riyadh region, including the capital and a number of governorates such as Al-Muzahmiya, Al-Kharj, Hawtat Bani Tamim, Al-Aflaj, and Wadi Al-Dawasir, where strong winds are expected to blow at a speed of 40-49 km/h, affecting horizontal visibility. The center indicated that the weather fluctuations will affect nine different regions, causing dust-laden winds and varying amounts of rain, calling for raising the level of field readiness. The Saudi Civil Defense stressed the need for citizens and residents to adhere to official instructions and stay away from flood streams and valleys to maintain safety.
