Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: Heavy rains and torrential floods on Saturday caused significant damage to property and agricultural land in the town of "Al-Jalla" in the Al-Aqaba Al-Sufla district of Far' Al-Udayn Directorate, west of Ibb Governorate. Local residents said that the floods damaged a number of homes and private properties, in addition to causing extensive damage to agricultural land and the local road network, exacerbating the suffering of the people, according to "Al-Masdar Online." The residents added that the floods swept away two shops belonging to citizens Abd al-Fattah al-Gharbi and Hani Sadiq, as well as two cars, and caused significant damage to several homes, including the home of citizen Ahmed Ali Yahya Muhammad. The village mosque was also damaged after being flooded, leaving comprehensive damage to its carpets, furniture, and facilities. The residents made urgent appeals to the local authorities and relief organizations for rapid intervention, the provision of humanitarian assistance to those affected, and work to reopen roads cut off by the floods, in addition to developing radical solutions to reduce the effects of recurring natural disasters.
