Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: A father and four of his children were killed on Friday evening in a horrific hit-and-run accident in Abyan Governorate, after they were struck by a military vehicle driven by a senior security official. According to local sources, the accident occurred when a vehicle belonging to the counter-terrorism unit, driven by the head of the unit in Abyan, Abdul Rahman Al-Shunaini, collided with a motorcycle carrying the father and his children, resulting in their immediate death. The victims were taken to Al-Razi Hospital in Jaar city, but they arrived lifeless. The incident sparked public outrage, as the victims' families blocked the public road in front of the hospital, demanding justice and accountability for those responsible for the accident. According to circulating information, Al-Shunaini turned himself in to the security services following the incident, while human rights and popular calls are escalating for a transparent investigation that ensures justice for the victims and prevents any party from escaping responsibility.
