Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The forces of the 17th Brigade of the Giants announced the thwarting of an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of narcotic pills in the Bab al-Mandab area, west of Taiz Governorate, and the arrest of a number of those involved in the operation. A statement issued by the brigade explained that the operation was carried out after receiving accurate intelligence information, and in coordination with the security campaign in the Ras al-Ara district of Lahj Governorate, and resulted in the seizure of about 30,000 narcotic pills and the arrest of the promoters. The statement added that the operation took place under the direct supervision of the brigade's leadership, which praised the efforts of the intelligence units in monitoring and following up until the raid was successfully carried out. This achievement comes just days after a similar operation carried out by the joint security campaign in Al-Subaiha districts, west of Lahj, where last Tuesday they were able to intercept a boat at sea and arrest four smugglers in possession of 150,000 Captagon pills after a naval chase that lasted for hours.
