Special - Al Hudaydah On Thursday, the Tihami Movement and the valiant Tihami Resistance issued an important political statement in which they renewed their firm position towards the issues of the Republic, and their explicit demand for fair political representation for the people of Tihama in state institutions, in light of what they described as the continued policy of marginalization and exclusion that Tihama has suffered from for years. The statement, which Aden Al-Ghad newspaper received, affirmed that the Tihami Movement and the Tihami Resistance had an early presence in the battle to defend the Republic and confront the Houthi coup, and that this great national role requires explicit recognition of the right of the people of Tihama to national partnership and their fair representation in decision-making positions. The statement indicated that Tihama is a fourth pillar in the national map, and that its people have the right to manage their affairs and participate effectively in the administration of the state, calling for embodying the principle of fair and balanced partnership on the ground. The Movement and the Resistance expressed their deep surprise at the continued absence of Tihama from the political representation scene, while the rest of the Republic's regions enjoy their rights in power, stressing that the Tihami Movement and the Tihami Resistance are the legitimate representatives of the cause and aspirations of the people of Tihama, and that no attempt to impersonate this representation by parties unrelated to the region can be accepted. The statement called for strengthening the spirit of cooperation and integration with various national components to complete the battle to restore the state and build a stable and secure Yemen that preserves the interests of all its people, stressing the need to respect the rights of Tihama in this path. The statement also valued the brotherly role played by the Arab Coalition, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, in supporting efforts to restore state institutions and represent its various components in a fair and balanced manner. The statement concluded by renewing loyalty to the sacrifices of the martyrs, abductees, and wounded, foremost of whom is the martyr leader Sheikh Abdul Rahman Hajri, stressing that Tihama will remain free, proud, and adhering to its rights and national status.
