Arab Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The Air Forecasts and Early Warning Center at the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology expects rainfall of varying intensity, reaching thunderstorms sometimes accompanied by hail, in separate parts of the country today, Wednesday. The weather bulletin indicated that the coastal areas and areas close to them will witness partly cloudy to cloudy weather, with rainfall of varying intensity accompanied by thunderstorms in parts of the southern, eastern, and western coasts. The winds are also expected to be moderate to active in parts of the eastern, southern, and western coasts, while they will be active to strong in the Socotra archipelago. As for the mountainous highlands, they are expected to witness partly cloudy to cloudy weather, with rainfall of varying intensity accompanied by thunderstorms and hail in parts of the northwestern highlands, extending to Al-Dhalea and Lahj in the south, in addition to parts of the highlands and plateaus of the governorates of Abyan, Shabwa, Hadhramaut, and Al-Mahra. Meanwhile, the desert and plateau areas will witness partly cloudy to cloudy and hot weather during the day and moderate at night, with the possibility of scattered rain that may sometimes be accompanied by thunder in parts of the deserts of Al-Mahra, Hadhramaut, Shabwa, and Al-Jawf, with moderate winds. The center warned citizens in the areas where rain is expected to fall from being in the valleys and torrents, and from thunderstorms. It also warned vehicle drivers of reduced horizontal visibility due to rainfall. The marine bulletin expected the sea state on the western coasts to be light waves, and on the coasts of Hadhramaut, Shabwa, Abyan, Aden, and Bab al-Mandab to be moderate waves, while it will be turbulent waves on the coasts of Al-Mahra, and very turbulent around the Socotra archipelago. The center also warned fishermen, seafarers, and ship captains around the Socotra archipelago, the eastern and southern coasts, and the Gulf of Aden of sea disturbances, high waves, and strong winds.
