Arab Sea Newspaper - News Updates
Arabian Sea - Follow-ups: The Media Observatory of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has observed a sharp increase in the number of victims of the Israeli aggression against the Palestinians, recording the martyrdom of (740) Palestinians between August 19 and 25, 2025, including (438) who were martyred last week, including (152) who died while waiting for aid, in addition to (2043) injured. According to the Observatory's data, the total number of Palestinian martyrs from October 7, 2023, to August 25, 2025, has risen to (63,715) martyrs, and the number of injured has reached (166,963), reflecting the extent of the crimes and serious violations committed against Palestinian civilians. In a dangerous development of the humanitarian situation, the United Nations announced for the first time the outbreak of famine in Gaza City, in a joint statement that included the World Health Organization, UNICEF, the World Food Program, and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). This comes in conjunction with an Israeli military escalation targeting the city, which included the destruction of (450) homes in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood. As part of targeting the necessities of life, the occupation forces killed five farmers northwest of Khan Yunis, and demolished camps for the displaced in Deir al-Balah after an evacuation warning, which led to the displacement of about (200) families, and a school in the Al-Shati camp was targeted. In the same context, UNRWA warned of the worsening malnutrition crisis in the Gaza Strip, noting that one in three children suffers from malnutrition, and cases have tripled in the past six months. In the context of the ongoing attacks by settlers, the Media Observatory recorded (64) attacks targeting villages in the West Bank, including illegal grazing in agricultural lands, land leveling, arson, cutting and stealing trees and equipment, and attacks on civilians and their property. Settlers seized mobile homes and established new outposts, and carried out excavation and construction of settlement roads in several areas of the West Bank. According to the report, the total number of documented Israeli violations in the past week alone reached (3611) crimes in various Palestinian regions, in a continuous escalation that reflects the nature of the settlement and punitive policies pursued by the occupation forces against the Palestinian people.
