Yemen: The National Cancer Treatment Program Launches a Project to Supply Laboratory Solutions in Aden

Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The National Program for the Treatment of Cancer Patients launched today at Al-Sadaqa Hospital in the interim capital, Aden, a project to supply laboratory solutions to the National Center for Cancer Treatment, funded by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA). The director of the program in Aden, Dr. Muhammad Mujahid, explained that this batch is the third in a series of aid provided by TIKA, and includes 33 types of solutions that include periodic tests before chemotherapy doses, tumor marker tests to monitor patients' response to treatment, in addition to virus testing solutions used before blood transfusions. He expressed his hope to continue this cooperation to cover the center's needs for solutions and medical devices. For his part, the director of TIKA in Yemen, Yahya Aju, affirmed that the project came in response to the urgent needs in the health sector, especially in the field of cancer treatment, pointing out that these solutions will contribute to improving the quality of diagnostic and therapeutic services provided by the center. He added that the agency's support will not be limited to this project, but will continue to include other sectors such as education, infrastructure, and development projects, reflecting TIKA's commitment to supporting humanitarian and development efforts in Yemen.
