Today, the Minister of Transport, Dr. Abdulsalam Humaid, along with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yemenia Airways, Captain Nasser Mahmoud, and the Commercial Director, Mohsen Haidara, laid the foundation stone for the company's main building in the Khor Maksar district of Aden, as part of the celebrations of the 58th anniversary of Independence Day. The Minister affirmed that the project, which is being built on an area of 6,000 square meters at a cost of $7 million, represents a qualitative step to develop the company's performance and restore its position after the losses it incurred, including the destruction of a number of its aircraft at Sana'a International Airport, praising the support of the political leadership and facilitating the granting of land for the project. For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company stressed the continuation of efforts to develop internal and external assets, improve services and renew the fleet, confirming the addition of the fifth aircraft to the fleet in early 2026, and the continuation of the development process to serve citizens despite the current challenges.
