The UAE Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Hamad Al Zaabi, informed President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, during their meeting in the interim capital, Aden, of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to approve one billion dollars to finance electricity and energy projects in Yemen, in a step aimed at supporting the service infrastructure and alleviating the accumulated pressures on this vital sector. The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed his great appreciation for this initiative, stressing that the continuous Emirati support represents an important lever for improving basic services, and contributes directly to reducing the suffering of citizens and enhancing stability in the liberated areas. The two sides also discussed during the meeting prospects for developing bilateral relations, joint coordination in economic and financial files, as well as developments in the general situation and efforts to advance existing reform programs.
