Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology announced today, Thursday, the completion of the technical work and expansion within the second phase of the national project "Aden Net," in preparation for launching sales of the fourth-generation internet service (AdenNet 4G) in the governorates of Aden, Abyan, Lahj, and Hadramout. The Yemeni News Agency (Saba) quoted the Acting Minister of Communications, Dr. Wa'ed Badhib, as saying that the expansion comes under the patronage of the Presidential Leadership Council and the supervision of the Prime Minister, within the framework of a national vision aimed at providing safe and reliable internet services according to international standards. Badhib added that this step keeps pace with the increasing demand for internet services in major cities and constitutes part of a comprehensive plan to expand coverage and modernize the telecommunications system in the liberated governorates, which contributes to reducing the digital divide and promoting economic and social growth. He affirmed that the ministry is working to complete the expansion in other governorates during the coming stages, which enhances national sovereignty over the telecommunications sector, calling on citizens to follow the official announcements of "Aden Net" and the ministry regarding sales mechanisms and approved distribution points.
