Subsequently, the Public Prosecution Office in Belbeis Center in Sharqia Governorate issued a decision to release the young man known as "Blogger Yasmine" after detaining him for 4 days, in exchange for bail of 5,000 Egyptian pounds (approximately $50), pending investigation. Local media reported that the case began after the security services in Sharqia received a notification from the General Administration of Information Technology, stating that they had received several reports about an account on social media bearing the name "Blogger Yasmine," who became famous for writing (Yasmine makes the stone soft) and relied on publishing videos in which he appeared with feminine features, performing dances in clothes that violate societal values. TikTok users circulated video clips from Yasmine's account, which is followed by more than 90,000 users, of what appeared to be a girl performing acts contrary to public morals, in addition to hundreds of males communicating with him in what resembled paid meetings away from public places. After legalizing the procedures, the authorities were able to identify the owner of the account and arrest him. Investigations revealed that he is an 18-year-old student residing in Belbeis city. Security sources explained that the investigations are being conducted in accordance with the Egyptian Law on Combating Information Technology Crimes, which criminalizes the publication of any content that violates public decency and punishes it with imprisonment and a fine, with confiscation of the tools used in the violation. The case sparked a discussion about the phenomenon of digital chaos on some platforms, where content creators seek to gain views and profits by crossing red lines, which applies to blogger Yasmine.
