**((Arab Sea)) Follow-ups:** After days of the security campaign launched by the Egyptian authorities against a number of content creators on social media platforms, the Public Prosecution issued a detailed statement on the matter. The Public Prosecution stated that a group of content creators on "TikTok" were arrested after reports about them publishing indecent clips that offend the values of society. It clarified that a number of them have been remanded in custody and their funds have been seized, as part of efforts to combat harmful content spread on social media platforms, especially to protect young people from its negative effects. The prosecution said in the statement that "the investigations resulted in the arrest of 10 defendants, some of whom were found in possession of a quantity of narcotics and an unlicensed firearm, in addition to seizing electronic devices that the Public Prosecution found, upon reviewing them, were used to create and manage private accounts on the aforementioned application and other social media applications, followed by thousands of young people, and broadcasting content that includes indecent words and phrases and constitutes an attack on the values and principles of Egyptian society." It continued that this was with the aim of "attracting the largest number of views and achieving illegal profits and material gains, some of which have been seized." It added that "it was decided to remand 8 defendants in custody pending investigations, release two defendants on bail, and ordered the defendants to be placed on travel ban and arrival watch lists, and prevent them from disposing of their funds, in addition to sending the seized devices for technical examination, requesting investigations by the General Administration for Combating Money Laundering Crimes, and investigations are ongoing." The prosecution said in its statement that this move "comes in light of what it observes of the increasing spread of such clips on a daily basis, and the grave danger they pose to young people, especially children and youth, who may be exposed to this content without supervision, which threatens their psychological well-being and affects their behavior." The Public Prosecution stressed that it "will not hesitate to take deterrent legal measures against the publication of any content that would offend public decency, prejudice public morals, or harm the established values in the conscience of Egyptian society."
