**Arab Sea - Follow-ups:** **The Saudi Ministry of Interior issued a statement yesterday, Sunday, regarding the execution of a discretionary death sentence for a female offender in the Makkah region.** **The statement, carried by the Saudi Press Agency, read: "Husn bint Mutaib bin Atiq Al-Tuhaimi (Saudi national) committed the murder of her husband, Faleh bin Dulaibah bin Ali Al-Ansari (Saudi national), by pouring corrosive acid on various parts of his body while he was asleep, which led to his death."** **It added: "The security authorities were able to arrest the aforementioned offender, and the investigation with her resulted in her being charged with committing the crime. After referring her to the competent court, a ruling was issued against her confirming the charges against her. Because her killing of her husband was the taking of an innocent life and a protected soul, and a criminal and religiously punishable act, and due to its heinousness and sanctity, she was sentenced to discretionary execution. The ruling became final after it was appealed and then upheld by the Supreme Court, and a royal order was issued to enforce what was decided according to Sharia law."** **The statement revealed that "the discretionary death sentence was carried out on the offender, Husn bint Mutaib bin Atiq Al-Tuhaimi (Saudi national), on Sunday, 15/3/1447 AH, corresponding to 7/9/2025 AD, in the Makkah region."**
