The Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center of the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority predicted today, Saturday, varying weather conditions across different regions of the country, noting hot and humid weather on the coasts, compared to extreme cold in the highlands and desert areas during the night hours. According to the daily report issued by the center, the southern and western coasts may witness clear to partly cloudy skies, with the possibility of light scattered rain, especially in the southwest of the country and the Socotra archipelago, while wind activity is expected in Bab al-Mandab, Mayyun Island, and nearby areas. As for the mountainous highlands, they will be exposed to dry and moderate weather during the day, turning cold and very cold at night, with a chance of frost and fog formation in the early morning hours. The desert areas, in turn, are experiencing hot weather during the day and very cold weather at night, with moderate winds. The bulletin indicated that the maximum temperatures will range between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius on the coasts, while the mountainous highlands will record low minimum temperatures, reaching only two degrees Celsius in some areas, while the minimum in the deserts touches the limit of 10 degrees Celsius. The center called on citizens in cold regions, especially the elderly and children, to take the necessary precautions, and also alerted farmers and livestock breeders to the dangers of frost to their crops and animals. At the maritime level, the report indicated that the sea state will range between light and moderate waves in the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the western coasts, while warnings continue to be directed to fishermen and seafarers in Bab al-Mandab and the Red Sea due to wave disturbances.
