The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning warned of cold to very cold weather expected to hit the mountainous highlands in the next 24 hours, with the possibility of frost formation in some areas. The center explained in its bulletin issued today that the most affected governorates include Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, in addition to the highlands of Al-Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Ibb, western Al-Jawf, and southern Marib, predicting that these areas will record a significant decrease in temperatures during the night and early morning. The center also expected the continuation of cold weather in the highlands of Hadramaut, Shabwa, Taiz, Reimah, and Al-Mahwit, calling on residents there as well to be cautious, especially with the possibility of frost formation in limited areas. The center urged the elderly, children, patients, and those working in open air to take all preventive measures against extreme cold, while calling on farmers to protect their crops from damage and take appropriate measures to avoid the effects of the sharp drop in temperatures.
