Yemen: Meteorology warns of a severe cold wave in 11 mountainous governorates.

The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning warned today, Monday, of cold to very cold weather during the next 24 hours in a number of mountainous governorates. The center explained in its daily bulletin that the weather will be cold to very cold at night and in the early morning hours in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, in addition to the highlands of Al-Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Ibb, western Al-Jawf, and southern Marib. It indicated that the cold may extend to include the highlands of Hadramaut, Shabwa, Taiz, Raymah, and Al-Mahwit, calling on citizens, especially the elderly, children, and those working in the evening and early morning periods, to be cautious of the effects of the cold weather. The center also urged farmers in mountainous areas to take the necessary precautions to protect their crops from frost, and advised those coming to those areas to wear warm clothes and avoid direct exposure to low temperatures.
