OpenAI CEO: Constructive talks with Trump on artificial intelligence
Arabian Sea - Exclusive
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said he had constructive talks with US President Donald Trump about artificial intelligence technologies, noting that Trump is well aware of the economic and geopolitical importance of this evolving sector. Altman added, during a live interview in San Francisco with the New York Times' "Hard Fork" podcast, that Trump "fully understands the importance of leadership in this field," as he put it. This statement comes in the wake of Altman's participation in the announcement of the "Stargate" project, which was launched at the White House following Trump's inauguration last January, and is the largest infrastructure project in the field of artificial intelligence, with funding of $100 billion, with the participation of "OpenAI," "Oracle," and "SoftBank."
