Arab Sea - Follow-ups: The Academy of Islamic Research - General Administration for International Students announced the victory of Yemeni student Abdul Qader Samih Haddad in the first level for the second time in a row in the "Culture of My Country" competition, during the closing ceremony held yesterday, Monday, at the Al-Azhar Conference Center in Nasr City. This year, the competition came in its second season, under the title: "A New Beginning to Spread the Culture of My Country," in cooperation with the Ministries of: Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, and Youth and Sports, within the presidential initiative "A New Beginning to Build Man," and under the generous patronage of His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and the supervision of His Eminence Professor Dr. Muhammad Al-Duwaini, Undersecretary of Al-Azhar, and the executive supervision of Professor Dr. Muhammad Al-Jundi, Secretary-General of the Academy of Islamic Research, and Dr. Ilham Shahin, Assistant Secretary-General for Preachers Affairs. The ceremony was attended by prominent leaders from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the Egyptian Minister of Culture, and a number of ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions, in addition to a group of academics and media professionals. During the ceremony, the winning international students from various nationalities were honored, in a festive atmosphere that confirms Al-Azhar's keenness to care for its students and support them culturally and educationally. The victory of student Abdul Qader Samih Haddad for the second time in a row in the first level is a culmination of his distinguished career, and evidence of his creativity and ability to present rich and innovative content that highlights the cultural identity of his homeland, Yemen, and contributes to strengthening the values of dialogue and communication between international students from more than a hundred countries studying at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. The competition administration confirmed that this repeated coronation represents an honorable model for Yemeni international students, and reflects their distinguished position on the cultural and scientific scene, as it reflects the success of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and the Academy of Islamic Research in achieving the goals of the presidential initiative "A New Beginning to Build Man" by supporting young talents and highlighting their cultural diversity.
