**((Arab Sea)) Follow-ups:** **The artist Diala Al-Wadi, who holds British citizenship, was killed inside her home in the upscale Al-Malki neighborhood of Damascus, after being subjected to an armed robbery.** **According to initial information reported by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the perpetrator chased the victim to the entrance of her house, before breaking into the place and carrying out his crime, seizing sums of money and gold jewelry, then fleeing to an unknown destination.** **Diala Al-Wadi is the daughter of the Iraqi maestro and academic musician Solhi Al-Wadi, founder of the Higher Institute of Music and Drama in Damascus and director of the Arab Music Institute, which later became named after him.** **For its part, the Syrian Artists Syndicate mourned Diala in a post on "Facebook," saying: "Our heartfelt condolences on the death of the artist Diala Solhi Al-Wadi as a result of an armed robbery in her home. We belong to God and to Him we shall return."**
